Where required by law, our legal bases are the performance of our contract with you, your consent (for example, for precise location and marketing), our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, and compliance with legal obligations. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as follows:

We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

5. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party services, including Apple (App Store, Sign in with Apple, and MapKit maps), Google (Google Sign-In and Firebase Cloud Messaging), and mapping, tide, and fish-stocking data from third parties and public agencies. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Tide, stocking, weather, and similar data is informational only and may be inaccurate.

6. Push Notifications

With your permission, we send push notifications (for example, new followers, messages, group activity, and stocking alerts). Delivery uses the Apple Push Notification service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, which involves a device token. You can turn notifications off in Settings or in your device settings.

7. Location and Secret Spots

Location features are optional and permission-based. You control how precisely each catch or spot is shared — exactly, as the general water only, or kept secret. When you mark a catch or spot as secret, we take reasonable steps to hide its precise coordinates from other users. You are responsible for what you choose to share.

8. Data Security and Retention

We use technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit (TLS), to protect your personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security; please protect your password and sign out on shared devices.

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and afterward as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements. When you delete content or your account, we delete or de-identify the associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required (for example, backups, legal or financial records, or safety investigations). We cannot guarantee deletion within a specific time frame and may preserve content in response to valid legal process or abuse reports.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the Service only with the consent and involvement of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal data, contact support@accrevialabs.com and we will delete it.

10. Your U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence (for example, California and other states with comprehensive privacy laws), you may have the right to know about and access, correct, and delete your personal information, to receive a portable copy, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of certain targeted advertising. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money. To exercise your rights, contact support@accrevialabs.com; you may use an authorized agent where permitted. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

11. Users in the EU, EEA, and UK

Accrevia Labs LLC is the controller of your personal data. We process it on the legal bases described in Section 3, and you have the rights described in Section 1, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Where we transfer personal data outside the EEA or UK, we use appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or rely on an applicable adequacy decision.

12. Changes to This Policy
